- camping on Labor Day weekend - nice weather, comfortably cool temperatures, made up for the dismal, sodden, black-fly-ridden first week of July
- Criterion Theater, Bar Harbor - old movie places are the BEST, especially when they have a BALCONY
- Weatherby's, Grand Lake Stream, Maine - a perfect Maine sporting camp
